All my strength training dreams have come true with Mike: not having to go to a gym, not getting injured or feeling super sore afterward, not feeling pushed past my capacity or feeling at risk or vulnerable while also getting noticeably stronger and experiencing less chronic pain. I was also able to get support with and incorporate calibration from a physiotherapist regarding my hypermobility and specific weaknesses and muscle imbalances – Mike considered the physiotherapy findings and helped me adapt the physiotherapy homework into my stability circuits.
I have a diploma in Registered Massage therapy and lots of body issues, so generic or basic knowledge in strength and stability training was never going to cut it for me. Mike has introduced me to the McGill Method, so I’m not only becoming physically stronger, but also learning how to help others like me.
I feel like a new person after only 30 minutes per week – sure it would be great to have 1-2 more sessions – I’m just suggesting that it’s worth giving it a shot if you’ve never had a trainer before or would like help with related challenges. and the natural high, pain relief, and strength i get afterward peaks for a couple of hours and continues for a few days. truely sublime with no good reason to delay.
I’ve been working out with Mike for a year and a half now, and I could not have asked for a better trainer.Mike is very knowledgeable with the best exercises and techniques to help me achieve my goals and keep me motivated. He has a keen sense of when to push me so I can get to the next level, and as a result my strength and fitness have improved noticeably.
Mike is also extremely reliable and punctual, always showing up ahead of time with exercises already planned out, and he makes each session fun and engaging with his friendly personality.

I am so grateful to have found Mike as a personal trainer who understands back injury and safe core work. Since working with him this last year I have been pain free and feel like I can live my life again without fear of injury. He’s calm, patient and non-judgmental, professional and punctual. After a boating accident left me with wedge compression (fracture) of two my vertebrae, Mike has helped me over the past two years to stabilize and strengthen my back. He first helped me work through the stabilizing exercises my physiotherapist provided me and then build upon the routines based on his own expertise. We have now gone beyond the stabilizing exercises and have incorporated strength training into the routine. While he does push me to get to the next level, Mike is very careful to make sure I’m feeling okay and not pushing myself too much. I see a definite improvement in my form and strength. I am also very happy with my progress now that I have started interval running, something that I loved doing before my accident. I highly recommend Mike as a trainer, especially if you have any back or neck issues.
